The Department of Educational Specialties has a limited amount of Graduate Assistantships and Tuition Waivers for qualified graduate students in a degree-seeking program. The Educational Specialties department houses programs for Special Education, Educational Technology, Career and Technical Education and Bilingual/Multicultural Education.
Applications are accepted via email to the department, or in person to our office in Room 106, Eastburn Education Building.
Graduate assistant and tuition waiver applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are open. Graduate assistantships are not automatically awarded for continuing students and must be applied for each year. The department will have a limited number of available graduate assistant positions. The positions will be filled as the department receives qualified applicants until all positions are awarded. Graduate assistant and tuition waiver applications will be accepted until March 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm. They will be awarded by the committee shortly after applications are closed and all applicants will be notified of their status near April 15, 2024. Any Educational Specialties student who applies for a graduate assistantship will automatically be submitted for a tuition waiver if no GA position is offered to them.
To be considered for a graduate assistantship and tuition waiver, please complete the application.
