What You Will Need to Succeed
- Minimum 2:1 degree in forensic computing or a technology, criminal or legal-focused subject or equivalent experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Enthusiasm for technology and an interest in technical developments
- Self-developer that demonstrates an ability to solve complex problems with well thought out, logical, innovative solutions
- Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support the team’s goals above individual goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while handling multiple tasks through to completion
- Excellent communication and client presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Flexible with working hours and motivated to work in a cross-functional team
Experience (a combination of):
- Familiarity with computer-based concepts
- A keen interest in information management practices and protocols
- Experience working in a technology or consulting related role
- Knowledge of forensic acquisition and analysis tools such as Encase, Cellebrite or X-Ways
- Experience supporting or working within document review applications
- Knowledge of data manipulation, data conversion, and data analysis activities in a SQL database or MS Access
- Familiarity with personal computers, mobile devices, operating systems and software
- Familiarity with email and messaging services (M365, Google, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram)
- Knowledge of programming or scripting (Python, Java, C#, Visual Basic, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of data protection and information security principles and regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST)
- Experience with file analysis and structured data archiving tools (Nuix, Index Engines, Commvault, Veritas)
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with data breach response and incident management
