- Lesson 8 - The laws related to alcohol in Australia.
- Lesson 9 - The agencies that exist to enforce alcohol laws.
- Lesson 10 - Acceptable and unacceptable IDs.
- Lesson 11 - The steps to take when checking IDs and verifying age.
- Lesson 12 - The correct procedures for verifying IDs.
- Lesson 13 - When to stop service to intoxicated customers.
- Lesson 14 - The techniques and practices for stopping service.
- Lesson 15 - How to get your customer home safely and transport options.
- Lesson 16 - Organisational policies and procedures relevant to the responsible service of alcohol.
Assessment Process
- Record a Virtual Video Assessment. To do so, you'll need a mobile device, laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and microphone. You will receive an email with instructions on how to use our interactive tool to record and submit. You can complete the video assessment at any point during the course, but we highly recommend that you do so after completing all lessons, and quizzes to ensure you understand the requirements of the assessment.
- Submit an Observer Report. If you've been working in the industry and serving alcohol to customers within the last 12 months, you can nominate an Observer to report on your skills. Your Observer will need to complete the form provided.

Technical Requirements
You need to make sure that you have the following in order to be able to complete the Responsible Service of Alcohol Course: 1. A modern web browser At AIFS we use some of the latest eLearning technologies to deliver the courses. You will need to have a modern web browser to view and complete the course (Google Chrome is recommended), and it's important that you have Javascript enabled. 2. An email address During the registration process, we will ask you for your email address. This is a mandatory requirement for you to be able to access our systems. Email addresses cannot be shared by students. 3. Adobe PDF Reader or Adobe Acrobat Some of the forms that you need to complete (such as the Observer Report) are in PDF format. Ensure that you have the latest version of Adobe PDF Reader. AIFS courses work on most computers, laptops, tablets and mobile devices. 4. For Virtual Video Assessment only: A device with a webcam and microphone If you are submitting a Video Assessment rather than an Observer Report, you will need a device with an enabled webcam and microphone to take the video.
